Hi dan, I know you put this a few years ago but I've stumbled across it whilst looking into the history of your old edition 30 as it is up for sale on auto trader, the power of Google eh :) anyway I was just wondering how long you had the car for and if it had full service history when you had it? Also how many previous owners did it have before you? Sorry for the million questions I just thought you would be the best man to ask.

Just had a search on autotrader

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201603252333194/sort/atcustom/postcode/rg226dj/radius/1500/make/volkswagen/model/golf/price-from/8000/page/1/usedcars

Yep,that's my old motor...when I sold it,i didn't bother taking off the h&r springs
& h&r F&R arbs...should still be on the car..
It's got full service when I had it

Ok mate nice one thanks for getting back to me! Yeah I noticed it was lowered so will be a nice little extra, did you leave any other mods on the car mate or was that it? Did you have a service done on the car in the time you owned it? I'm only asking as he can only track down 2 services at vw that have been done the last one being 40k and that's when you bought it I believe?

Hi mate...I brought it from a non Vw dealer in Wales,I Px from a Bmw m3
Ive done the cambelt & water pump at Jkm during my ownership..
I'm not 100% sure but I think I'm the 3rd or 4th owner
It was standard when I brought the ed30,I modified it to stg2+ with dsg remap
By rtech in lecister...should still have the dsg map on the car,& WALK too
The ed30 came with the rns310,eddie NL supplied & fitted the rns510

Nice one mate I really appreciate your help! Did it still have the hpfp or intercooler on it aswel or did you sell them? I'm in two minds whether to buy it as its coming up on a hpi check at 105k miles in march this year but it was on 62k last year he said it was on kph and not mph and they changed it back I can't imagine that anyone would have done 50k in a year thought I might try to track previous owners starting with you, any chance you can tell me the garage you PX it too? Might ring them to see if they have the next owner on system!

Hi mate...I remember when I Px against a bmw 335d at a Citroen garage it had 57-59k..that's back in 2013
I remember the Citroen sales guy said they gonna put it up on in a auction
...62k does sound a bit cheesy

If I where you,I would think twice on buying it as I don't believe it's done less then 3-4K after I sold it...
If you want more info call Citroen dealer in Weston super mare
& ask for kevin Macintosh(the sales guy I was dealing with)

Yeah ino it does seem strange doesn't it! Although Previous MOTs are saying it was on 53k in July 2013 then 59k in 2014 and then 62k in 2015 & now on 65k! The garage seems to have very good reviews too, I'll definitely give Citroen a call though thanks for the info mate!

Always good to check, however since i have had my Golf i have only covered 7k since nov 2011. Due to being deployed 6 months of the year, every year and how far i live from work. Also for longer journeys we use the wifes smax.  :happy2:

Yeah definitely mate, these are the kind of car people like to keep the mileage off aren't they! I'm sure they will soon become more of a collectors car especially the edition 30! That's why I want one :)
