RNS-510 & battery drain query
« on: August 25, 2013, 10:31:20 pm »
Hi

Sorry for the possible n00b question but I have seen a couple of RNS units on ebay recently suggesting that they are running a modified firmware version to avoid the battery drain on earlier models.

Mine is a 2006 GTI so would probably need the CANBUS doing - unless this firmware is a viable alternative.

Has anyone used this/tried it, or would the tried and tested CANBUS switch be the safer option?

Any help more than appreciated  :happy2:
