Well... yupp... gonna save up for some new rims...

I've grown to like split rims, expensive and will take a good while to save... but should be worth it right ?

Your honest true opinions are appreciated chaps

I think they will look awesome, very expensive though and will not look right unless you lower the car too

....

Those BBS are part of their family of 'Y' spoked alloys which all look very dateless and classic imo. I also like the look of split rims. If you like those, then why not consider TC's alloys.

Personally, at £3.5k I'd be thinking of spending another £1.5k and getting some carbon rim Dynamag's which would have the weight and other performance advantages.

But why do this on a Pirelli which already has unique wheels unless it was for weight advantages?

My friend had these fitted on his S3, and they were corroded within a year (show use only too)

I thought you didn't like this type of wheel, you turned your nose up at this style a number of times.

Get yourself a full on side shot and load it up onto this ace site. We had great fun on another forum with this BBS site as a couple of people could not get the hang of sizing the wheels correctly.  :signLOL:

Hmm yes im still contemplating atm :)

I love my Pirelli wheels... i think they look great... most dont agree... i grow more to them eveeery day

All im thinking of doing is,

1) Remap,
2) Eibach Pro Sport line springs
3) Spaces ( 5 or 10mm ? )

The only reason im considering changing wheels is due to the fact i dont want to get them damaged... they will be worth a fortune in years to come

....I was with you until I read that bit ^!

Wouldn't you be just a little bit worried about damaging wheels which cost you £3.5k?

Indeed. They will never be worth as much as the BBS RS GT rims.

Does everyone agree that getting Spaces ( 5 or 10mm ? ) is a good idea ?

Spacers can be risky, have been known to crack and break, which isnt such a good thing when going round a corner.
Personally wouldnt fit them.

Keep the Pirelli alloys, they look the bussiness, and oh a remap, isnt such a bad thing

Ok - looks like i'll stick to Remap & Eibach Springs....

p.s which are the best springs ?? Do VWR make good springs ? I hear they are lighter ???? :surprised:

This is something i want to do, save weight
