Rich, VWR don't make any springs but because of their technical partnership with KW Germany (also VW Cup sponsors), VWR offer KW suspension products.

I'm not aware of KW springs being lighter weight than others but I would say that Bilstein and KW offer the best coilovers unless budget is an issue.

You can buy just VWR-KW springs.

p.s which are the best springs ?? Do VWR make good springs ? I hear they are lighter ???? :surprised:

This is something i want to do, save weight

i have the vwr springs and all 4 were 3.2kg lighter than the h&r ones i also had. they are made by the same people that makes kw springs. i have also had kw v1 coilover kit and an eibach pro street kit and although they look the same appart from the colours the kw springs are lots lighter. here some info i was reading about the race springs http://kw-suspension.com/en/30_Products/30_KW_Competition/10_Racing_Springs/index.php

Hi BMX... before i start.. i love your car in your sig... it looks the shizzle !

Which springs do you recommend i go for then ? VWR or the KW Springs ?

Which springs have you got on now ?

I want springs that lower the ride.. by a subtle amount ( just right ) and of course springs that save weight

....But I get the impression that Rich doesn't want to mod the Pirelli's engine. It would give him insurance problems probably.

Rich, 10mm spacers will give you an improved stance/look which is what I believe your looking for, they will not give you any other problems if they are well made hubcentric spacers and are fitted and balanced with the wheels.  :happy2:

Rich

I think you are doing the right thing with the Pirelli

1. keep the original P Alloys as they distinguish the car
2. Re map it

Not sure if it really needs lowering this early in its life, I would wait until the springs/dampers need replacing as the ride/handling is already pretty good

i was really impressed with the Revo Stage 1 on our Pirelli, ransformed the car and strangely feels a lot more refined especailly at lower speeds, are you going to HQ or an agent as the Pirelli map is slightly different to Ed30

Going to HQ... Carl there will flash me.

I'll probably get the VWR Springs as i think 17mm drop is just right for a subtle improved look & improving the handle slightly.
