For me, i'd have the S3. its basically the same car as the mk6-R, but FOR HALF THE PRICE  :notworthy:

The exclusivity doesnt really justify it to me. . .Buy a decent spec S3 - £10k or a Golf R £20k

If money was no object, i'd have the Golf . Actually if money was no object, it would be an RS3

What Graeme said!

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.
Gone but not forgotten : mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk4 Golf V6 4Motion, mk5 GTI Storm Developments Stage 1, mk5 GTI Revo Stage 1, BMW 330ci, Skoda Octavia VRS Revo Stage 2, BMW Z4 Sdrive35i.

Me and Romany went and test drove the R today... AMAZING!

Lovely looking car, much prefer the looks of exterior and especially interior to the S3. Was great fun to drive and traction felt amazing, picked up speed pretty well off the line too. I was hoping it would rain to see how impressive it is in the wet but it didn't rain. It would be the R for me, more exclusive, about twice as many Ed30's than R's on the road isn't it? Even a basic spec R comes with quite a few bits as standard so thats good.

If the one today had more doors, DSG box and blue rather than silver I might have been tempted.

I was quite impressed by the subtle mud guard thingys too, thought they were a nice touch :

I also was torn between a s3 or a R,but in the end I brought a R due to nicer interior with a better Satnav, better dashboard lighting etc etc
