Well it's back into garage they are having it for a week going to compression test it maybe new piston rings stem seal values etc using about 1/3 of a litre every 200-300 miles

The fourtron additive and new oil change they did previously didn't work

08 plate GTI dsg fsh now done 42k miles

Hi mate

I brought your ed30 from Darlington Citroen (Evans) I noticed the stall in power when under 1/4 of a tank. On the fourth occasion the EML came on so phoned up Evans, they had the car booked in at Crawley VW for warrenty and it was a shoddy coil pack,

Touch wood I haven't had this issue since I've had it back 7 weeks ago  :happy2:
There 2 year warrenty is good, repair cost covers upto £10300 So pretty good in my opinion.

You must of took good care of her because she's absolutely immaculate inside and out and drives like a dream.

There warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. They have just caused a major oil leak on my car fools of the highest order.

I've only had the one encounter with the warrenty ATM, however I have got a free mot + any repair costs in writing from them as the car was only sold with 5 months mot so I'll see if they worm there way out of paying IF there is any parts that need replacing.

You would have noticed there s*** at paying! I had to wait 4 days for VW to release my car as Evans darl hadn't paid even though they said they had.

A report from who ? The dealer or your engineer you sent. What are you expecting the report to say .

Not sure it's an independent report asked to report on if there was a problem when I bought it and if it's been repaired correctly

To be fair its a good car I now know it's not leaking and drives well it's not the end of the world either way, it's about principle of a garage and a consumers rights if anything it means if I walk in with warranty work I expect it to be done correctly.

I'd struggle to find another with the same spec that's factory fit

My points of argument are

A. Supplied with a fault
B. Repair caused major leak possible engine and turbo damage it's the garage to prove otherwise within first 6 months of ownership
