:)

i got to use a £200 a tub wax today, 80% carnuba wax, and well what a pile of pants, ive never used such a hard wax to remove, in the end i had to coat it with my hd wax to remove the stuff, so lesson learnt, stick to what you know.

heres a beading pic anyway

also my car came with uprated aftermarket speakers, i though it sounded pretty poor tbh, then saw a thread about cutting the adaptor wires, so i did this and its still crap, then when messing about with the fader i noticed the rears sounded better, quick change round of door speakers and its back to quality listening now yeah...

Did a couple things today. Firstly I took the exhaust off and then Re fitted the original minus the centre box. Tbh it's pretty quiet now but I may decat it for noise.

I've took pics of the horror that was done when it was made I'll stick them up in a bit.

Secondly my boot pop parts came in, the scirroco bumpers and the Davis struts but the struts must of changed as there about 5" short.

[ Invalid YouTube link ]

Here's a vid of it in action.

I used a guide off here, but the struts have been superseded or something,

There both rated 600nm were the oem ones are 380nm so it's stupid stiff, the guide part numbers are wrong, so for anyone doing it don't get the fabia struts, tomorrow I'm going sourcing correct struts that are about 450-500 and the correct length, then ill give the info

The bumpers are about £6 and the struts £15 ish. That's all then it's a case of vagcom coding,

Here's the sh*te that was made by a so called reputable exhaust company.

See what I mean!!!!!!!!!!!

It was made and fitted by a local company.

I saw it a bit back. But the mounts they made the exhaust would wobble. So I had enough and took it off.

I'm a welder by trade and that is absolute sh*t !! In fact I don't even think that counts as a weld/s lol the bends are shocking also ! As them for a refund !! A weld should always be as strong as the two parent metals it's joining together in this case pieces of stainless pipe - a weld especially on pipe work should totally seal the gas or liquid it's conveying in this case exhaust gas

As you can see the welds aren't fused and one of them has gaps in it that's been leaking exhaust gases ,those bends are the worst I've ever seen !! So restrictive

I've got two minds to throw it through their window.

Moving on.

Today I gave the car a full hunter alignment and it was well out at opsing corners.

After that the winter wheels went on and the white really suits.

Then finally I took the wind deflecotrs off as I think they were causing water misting inside.

After that I treated myself to some led rear lights off seat :)
