how do...
« on: September 12, 2013, 01:35:13 pm »
hello everybody!

Ive just joined the edition30 club after leaving the dub club when i owned this :

2008 VW Polo 9n3 GTi, running stage2 Revo etc...

then sold it to fund a house, and bought this as a run around:

2005 Honda Civic Type R Premier, standard bar exhaust, filter and in-dash ipad

then after a year or so of saving, a spontaneous buy last week saw me with this!:

2008 Edition 30, DSG, Xenons, rear parking sensors

looking forward to working with this to see what it ends up being like!

Thanks for havin' a goose!  :happy2:

first plans is to fix a slight dsg problem which i didnt notice on the test drive!

if that gets fixed and its all dandy, then looking at brakes, suspension and possible a remap! still doing homework on them really!

Don't worry mate, your car is far nicer than the black 3 door manual  we had for 3 weeks, I had a good look at your car and was seriously considering it but the wife can only drive manual cars.or we would have snapped it up ! I especially liked the Michelin tyres. You grabbed a bargain  :happy2:

Here is a pic of the black 3 door we had for 3 weeks

ohhh right! i thought you meant you took delivery of mine, then sent it back for being bad! the one i have the DSG is playing up! so i might end up having to reject it!! :(

Just get them to sort it, that car is far too nice to reject

The 5 star warranty that comes with the car seems to work a treat, we are impressed.

We made a claim within 48hrs for an epc light accelerator fault, warranty company were top drawer. We had our money within 24hrs. Very impressed indeed

Your putting me at ease mate! thanks buddy!
gonna go see frank tomorrow, see what they will do, if they wont pay out on the 5* warranty, im gonna have to reject it cos it sounds like a new mech unit/clutch either way the repair bill is gonna be massive!  which garage did they send you to btw? are you local to wakefield/yorkshire? cheers!

I had similar

I just drove straight to my local vag specialist , they phoned warranty company and to them of the issue.

Warranty company said , no problem just fix it. I paid the bill, then sent them receipt.

The warranty should be ok.

Has the dsg fluid been serviced recently ?

I certainly would not lose any sleep over it.
