Hello!
Well I recently received my RCD310 and because I am a man of compulsion I could not wait for the CANBUS adapter Eddie-NL has coded I decided to try the RCD310 in my car to see how it gets on, and great it looks the part; DAB sounds amazing; but... it no longer supports my CD changer; the label on the top shows "NC" (I presume no-connection); where as my RCD300 had CDC connections.
Has this been a recent change from VW; as I have just wired the new car; got glass fibre hands from fitting a new aerial and now, my cd changer won't work because it appears the RCD310 no longer supports it; and well it seems to have been dropped from the VW blurb on their page... no mention of the CD Changer which they used to show!
http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/technology/entertainment-systems/rcd-310The RCD 310 radio/MP3 compatible CD player has a larger screen and 8* speakers front and rear, with an output of 4 x 20 watts. It has many easy-to-use features, including an AUX-in socket for connection to an external media source, such as your iPod or MP3 player.
Model of the RCD310 is:
VW-1K0 035 186 AQFD: 2012
HW: 004
SW: 0119
I will post the two pin diagrams from the top of the units shortly...
Thoughts / Ideas? Anyone know about this?

Seems that it's true, the very latest versions of the RCD310 have now started to be manufactured without the CDC compatibility Sick
If I may; here is someone with a T5 having exactly the same issue. Seems I will just have to get a not so new one
