Tyre valve headache monza 2's
« on: September 14, 2013, 08:03:15 pm »
Went to get my refurbed monza 2's remounted with new tyres today .

Could not be done as we could not get any tyre valves to fit them ! They seem to need a special valve of some kind

1k0601361 is this the part number I need ?

Where is the cheapest place to get them?

Thanks

Is yours an early car? They sound like the valves I had on my 2005 GTI , I had the 17s but the early BBS made wheels are hollow so need special metal valves , IIRC you have to get them from VW? Later cars like my current 58 plate car had wheels from Ronal which use standard rubber ones.
2005 Golf GTI 3 Door - Tornado Red. (2010 - 2012)

2008 Golf GTI 3 Door - Candy White , 18" Monza II's , Leather , Armrest , Rear Park sensors. (current car)

These are 18" bbs ones 2005 , so it looks like special valves I guess

If the wheel part number ends with AH you need special metal ones from VW.

I just had a massive headache with a leaking one!
