New Edition 30 owner from Glasgow
« on: September 14, 2013, 10:38:43 pm »
Hello people, how we doing? I picked up my new car tonight and thought I would join up to the forum. My names Stuart and I'm from sunny Glasgow.

I've been a bit of Honda fan for years, owning many Civics. EJ9, EK3, EK9 Rx and recently a Mugen FN2, I also had a 25th Anni Mk4 Golf inbetween and thats where I got my first taste for the VAG's  :happy2: Now I've purchased a MkV GTi Edition 30 so to most of you guys I have probably seen the light..... again!

I had my heart set on yet another Honda until I seen this beast up for sale, as soon as I seen it at its reduced price I had to have it. So anyway tonight I headed down to Durham from Glasgow to pick her up. The drive home was epic to say the least ha  :innocent:

Here is her spec list -

2007 Limited edition number - 0127

- Limited edition30 leather interior
- Full colour sat nav headunit
- MFD2 Highline display
- Heated and electric seats
- Auto lights
- Auto wipers
- 6 CD changer in armrest
- Heated mirrors
- Winter pack
- Auto Headlight washers
- Tyre pressure monitor system
- ESP/traction control system
- Climate control
- Coming home lights
- Multifunctional flat bottom steering wheel
-MK6 auto chrome headlight switch
- Dewipered rear with glass bung ( improves the overall look of the rear end making it a lot smoother and cleaner, glass is treated with a anti water chemical so there is no need for a rear wiper anyway it just runs off )
- Indicators turned into daytime amber running US lights when sidelights are used
- GTI alloy pedal foot rest
- GTI seat inserts
- Billet chrome heater surround rings
- US spec lower open style grills
- Full white LED interior every bulb upgrade, footwell, glovebox, boot.

Brief specification:

- VW Racing -20mm spring kit coupled with standard front shocks and FK rear performance shocks

- R32 Front 345mm brake upgrade

- Uprated Poly bush rear subframe mount

- Team Dynamic pro race 1.2 18x8 lightweight racing wheels - brand new continental sport contact front tyres costing £300 and brand new nankang rear tyres

- Custom smoothed and welded bonnet to remove 'half moon'

- Real carbon fibre front grill without badge. 8 super strength nano magnets behind panel to allow number plate to be removed with ease without any nasty holes or screws. ( I do have original grill with badge available )

- Miltek Resonated exhaust system with full Miltek decat pipe from turbo back

- Dblias Turbo systems Intake setup with hybrid pipercross cone filter

- AutoTech high pressure uprated fuel pump internals

- Revo stage 2+ engine ecu software programming

- Revo SPS hand held switch controller with switchable maps and antitheft mode

- Currently running 353 BHP / 338 peak torque

And here she is .........

Cheers for the welcome and comments guys.

The car is a beauty, I'm more than over the moon with it. Having came from 198bhp 142lbft to 353bhp 338lbft it is pretty mind blowing power, even the pull in 6th gear  :jumping: The lad I bought it from done me a massive favour holding it for me until I shifted my Civic. He had a a guy on his case quite a bit who had the funds available there and then but held out for me, if your on here Dale. Cheers mate your a legend  :happy2:

I've been looking through the site and would just like to say its a great site and the info is top notch, keep it up guys.

Cheers lads, not got many plans for it right away as its pretty mint as it is. A couple of things to sort to keep things to sort like a sheered ball joint bolt  and a leaky CV boot!

I like the sound of this, Its my Saturday shift on but I might see if I can get it changed over. Won't be making the run up to St Andrews or Crail as I've got my mates 30th on Saturday night and I'll be a burst ball on Sunday
