Hey, probably been asked and answered before but my searching has failed to clarify exactly how to ascertain the Production number of a Mk5 Golf Gti..

I've read that its the last 6 digits on the vin, that would make mine No.233947 which for a 2005 car doesn't sound right? But then again I may be completely under estimating the number of these cars made.  :surprised:

That's correct...my US - '07 is number 047000 so it must've been sitting on some port lot waiting to be OK'd for the states
