Caliper refurb time... cant decide on colour.
« on: September 16, 2013, 04:02:31 pm »
HI everyone,
I plan on sending my TTRS calipers away over the winter for a refurb but cant decide on the colour.
I was thinking about keep them black but I really fancy something different, maybe red or gold.

What does everyone else think?

The car is a darkish blue with anthracite Turini's on it now

If wheels were black I'd say yellow. But gold sounds good through anthracite :happy2:

Thanks very much  :happy2:
That was exactly the colour I had in mind, just didn't know if it would be a bit too loud.
I'm worried I don't like them once they are on  :scared:

so far I'm thinking the Lambo gold might be the way forward.  :happy2:

I was also thinking colour coded the colour of the car, or Audi Sepang blue

That is some serious stopping power!
Not sure about the big Brembo logo, I think a smaller black logo would be better

If you like understated, then there's nothing wrong with a dark colour, like the S3/RS3 black very subtle - think it would be difficult to match the bodywork colour well.

Leave the rears S3 black.

They look really cocked up if you do them lary.

That colour is a Miurcielago Colour Arancio Atlas Orange....needs 6 coats from memory...lovely though and would defo work on that Leon - great colour that.

Speak to Alex at AKS about a rear disc upgrade if you're bringing attention to the fronts, just balances things out and isn't anywhere as expensive as you think with the new discs replacing the Rs6 ones

Cheers Dave,
I think that's the colour I'm going to go for.
I have emailed Alex about a set of his brembo discs as the original TTRS discs are junk and Loba discs are a bit more that I was looking to spend.
I was looking at the pictures of the 355mm rear discs, that would be an awesome setup!
