Can I use any screen/headlight wash or strictly V.W. only ?

VW screenwash isn't going to break the bank.

I find it does a good job and has a nice fragrance

I always find it funny, when I read a posts where someone has spent £25k on a car and then wants to save a few quid on screenwash

Have to pay for fuel somehow!

We bought a jetta last December and although it had screenwash in the fan jets dribbled out ...turns out they had been using non vw screen wash ...I emptied it and put correct vw stuff in ...took me ages to get it spraying in fan again but it does now ...they had tried to fix it a and had even replaced the pipe thinking it was blocked but never thought about screen wash ...I just got a bottle from tps and I've used it in both cars since last dec still got loads left as u don't need much at all

I've always just used basic halfords screen wash in the 8 years I've had my car and had no problems with it. Six quid for 5 litres which you then dilute, so it lasts well. Also as said above, it did win a car magazine group test a short while ago

you buy cheap screenwash, so you can put a couple of quid in the fuel tank
