ipod connection in armrest question...
« on: September 02, 2009, 10:46:16 am »
Ok I admit defeat - read the manual, scanned the net & I still don't know how it works. I thought it was simply plug & play but nothing happens. Tried every switch on the headunit but still nothing. The connecter is OEM & been in the car since new, I've had it 6 months & finally decided to fit my apple ipod to it....& nothing
Any ideas to keep a complete tool sane?! :ashamed:

Pressing CD twice should activate the iPOD... Does it say no CDC when you do this?

Yeah thats your trouble then, pressing once plays the CD in the head unit, twice the CD changer or ipod dock in the armrest.

If it doesn't work I would check that the wiring is secure at both ends, but other than that I don't think there is much you could do except replace it.
