Any way to update the iPod interface?
« on: September 23, 2013, 01:30:58 pm »
I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to these Golf thingymabobs so bear with me.

The standard unit in my 2008 ED30 displays song names as Track 01 etc, its basically the CD multichanger interface.

Is there any way to update the firmware or something to show actual track names? I don't want to change the whole unit for the newer one as this one does the job and it does it well, would just be nice to have it interfaced better.

Thanks!

No way of doing it mate.
The only way would be as you said, going down the RNS510/RCD510 route with a newer (MDI) unit in your armrest or glovebox.

Thought as much.

I think for the cost of one of them units I'll just bear with the interface I have at the minute.

Cheers!
