Bit of an update, interior mods really, so get away from the stock boring look

i didnt take a photo before i touched the interior, shame!

Heres a list of what ive done, these were all brand new parts by the way,

GTi Pedals
GTi Steeringwheel with MF buttons (GT badge on there dont worry)
GTi Gear knob
RNS-510 Head Unit with touch screen
Genuine Vw Alu Trim, miles better than the black IMHO.

This is the first interior pic i have. here you can see the GTi Pedals and Silver trim.
Boring Steering wheel, Boring gear knob, Boring Head unit

That wheel had to go, its just boring and no buttons!

so on went this

I also need a steering wheel controller for it, so £161 pounds later i had the controller from VW.

the steeringwheel probably cost me about £420 in all

So next up was the RNS-510., ive wanted one of these since before owning a mk5, i think there great. i managed to get a brand new one for less than a grand so bought one.

old rcd300 out! YESS!!

clocks out to thread the Sat nav reciever wire behind it, you can just see the wire before i secured it behind there.

and now here is the finished item (for now!) the gear knob install took 2 mins so no pics! lol you all know what they look like!

some more pics of the rns

Also i added my seat inserts! ;)

changed the TDI badges!

Next up is highline clocks! that should be pretty simple, but my clocks are on back order at the moment, and its looking like costing £500 quid. i need to have the clocks done at VW too. i cant install them. Ive managed to wangle them down to £75 for installation which is reasonable. although, if i have VAS, it would take me 10 minutes, not an hour! haha

I have also got the FISCON BASIC- Plus BLuetooth kit from Kufatec. ill be installing that next week.

the next thing now for my car is a FULL Detail!

oh and on wednesday its into awesome for lowering! ;)

Brilliant job mate, but your cash-burn rate is a lot higher than mine! :D
Good looking car though, can't wait to see it in the flesh.

i know mate, its getting silly! haha! thing is tho, thats how i want my car, i use it a lot and it want it exactly how i want it!

its not like im the kind to spend a fortune then sell it 6 months later. ill hopefully have it for 2 years or so.

the reason im doing so much is because i didnt spec the car myself, it was spec'd by someone else, then i bought it. i got 4k ish off the list price so i went for it.

i would have had highline, rns510, xenons from factory but i arrived at VW after they had stopped orders for mk5s!

That's fair enough, again I've had my car since new, that's three- or four-odd years now, so I understand exactly where you're coming from... I probably spend a considerable portion of my life in my car and like you I want it exactly want it :)

thanks mate, wont be long, hardly call it a slam tho! but will look miles better than it does now

ive been pondering eibach ARBs all day but ive spent a lot recently. might leave it for now. appreciate each mod as it comes, rather than do the lot at once.
