I'm happy, especially given JKMs notorious dyno  :happy2:

Pretty much all parts and tuning by Alex (although APR HPFP, not autotech ). Twintercooler & standard cooler.

Last ran 320bhp, but Alex has tweaked my mapping to push it a little further now - top job mate  :happy2:

My contribution......

Despite the 'headline figure' being a bit less than Hurdy's, it is another big  :happy2: to John for taking me out in his car. That vehicle was a stunning example of how it should be!! I have to say that a lot of the horses in my FWD car are unusable in every day driving thus highlighting that peak power figures in dyno runs can be misleading. I hear about rolling starts etc. and that is where I am better off for sure but I struggle to put the power down in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and sometimes 4th depending on conditions. I was tuned in carefully when out in John's car  and the wheels didn't chirp a bit all the way through.....

.....anyone want to buy a 355bhp Octavia? LOL  :happy2: :sad1:

I think I converted a few people to the benefits of 4WD that day Muckipup.  :driver:

Big power is all well and good in a fwd, but useable power at low speeds or from a standstill is always going to be an issue. The guys I know on the focus RS forum are actually slower to 60 mph once they pass the 400bhp barrier as they simply cannot control all that power and torque through the front wheels. The combination of 4WD and DSG is quite formidable and just about shocks everyone who experiences the accessibility of the power for the first time. :happy2:
Golf R gone.

....Exactly. It's all about balance between power and traction aka driveability. It's why I haven't gone beyond the Stage 2 on my FWD Mk5 GTI which usually delivers 260-270 bhp according to JKM's dyno.

But yes, I would love a modified Mk6 Golf R.

Yeah I'll take yours John, I'll PM the address - park it outside and stick the keys through the letterbox. If you let me know what time you'll be there I'll book you a taxi to the station, should only be about £6

Yea not shabby, Was a bit of a pain trying to wipe the "unknown" software as the Revo program didn't seem to get on with it but all sorted in the end.  Wasn't able to get a RR done after but ill be popping in to my local Dynodynamics tuner for a power run and see how she gets on, car certainly feels a lot quicker through the range so I'm a happy bunny so far, I just hope she runs 240+

Looking at what your currently running, I plan on closely emulating that! Some serious figures.
