EGR and DPF delete
« on: September 26, 2013, 02:18:43 pm »
Hi Guys,

I have a mk4 1.9GT Tdi run-around/daily...

Now thinking I want to get a bit more poke and some better mileage from it...

Will EGR and DPF removal help, would you recommend and would this need to be adapted with say a Revo map...

Is there any reasons not to? Don;t want clouds of smoke out the back of course!

How much am I looking at?

Cheers,

Dom

There is no DPF on a mk4?

EGR delete is better for the engine but you won't see a massive difference.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

You can fit an EGR blank but may need it mapped out.

Intercooler hoses would benefit from being replaced with decent silicon ones anyway so why not  :happy2:
