There's quite a few on ebay mate. I'll check the part number on mine when i've got it off. I am going to remove the connecting rod tomorow and see if it will complete the basic settings. That way hopefully it will show whether it is the motor or flap that is knackered  :happy2:

Had the flapper motor replaced on mine a few week's ago and it's been fine ever since,it used to come up with a error saying that it need to have basic setting's done in vagcom but used to lose them a few day's later.It's all good now after I swapped the intake runner motor for a new one.

Yea mine is saying basic settings failed - mech. stop closed???

Did you notice any running issues with yours Sanj? Did the CEL come on?

I didnt have any lights but got errors on vcds.......

Mine ran rough for a few min's with the CEL coming on when it first happend but it went away and I though it was ok but when putting your foot down it did'nt feel right and then I did a scan with VCDS and it came up with the intake runner problem's,I had it replaced and it's been fine ever since. :smiley:
