wow, those brakes look crazy!
huge in terms of disc diameter but the brake surface seems very small due to the floating rotors. the bells are huge!

The rims are a prototype custom-made for VW Racing (I was the first customer to drive on them) : -
The brakes are custom-made for VWR - A lot of their mods are. They feel strong and direct but not snatchy - You can hear them working though!!
