So I've had Depo projectors since the summer, as it's now dark 80% of the time I drive thought it was about time I fitted an HID kit...
This is the kit I went for (they are all made in the same Chinese factory right?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330379335700). It worked well the first couple of times but I've had to put normal H7's back in recently as I just can't rely on it to work.
With the engine already running the ballasts fail to ignite when they are switched on, commonly the passenger one fails to light, often it's both. After about 10 minutes of the engine running they will both eventually turn on then work fine for the rest of the journey thereafter, can be switched on and off many times whilst the engine is still on.
Research suggests this is a low voltage problem, I've disabled 'leaving home' lights already and start the car with the switch all the way to the left in 'off'. Battery is new.
http://www.ebay.com/gds/HID-XENON-CONVERSION-KIT-TROUBLE-SHOOTING-/10000000001215090/g.html Anyone had similar issues? Anyone had an HID kit that's worked without problem from day 1 that they can recommend?! Or I could just buy a new set of bulbs & ballasts and try again...
Thanks for any help, i don't want to go back to regular H7's they just don't compare to xenons now I've had a taster of them
