Steering rack issue

Hi all, only niggle I have with my latest purchase of a mk5 gti is a noisy steering rack, any one else have this issue? Is it cosmetic like vw say or will it ultimately fail? It's noisy when parking or with slow driving mostly to the left.

If so what's the fix, is it a new rack and if so where's the best price other than the stealers to try ?
