Canbus gateway
« on: October 07, 2013, 06:08:10 pm »
I am in the process of upgrading my headunit to a rcd510 and found out that I have to upgrade the canbus gateway due to issues with battery drain.

Im looking to get one from ebay for about £40 but can't tell if they are the right revision as the model numbers vary completly. I know I need revision L or above but how do I know its the right one from the model number. The ones I have found have the following codes:

7N0907530R

1K0907530F

Will either of these solve the battery drain issue?

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks

The one starting 1K0 is where you need L or later.
The 7N0 part is a later model so all of them are ok.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
