Running a USB power cable along top edge of windscreen.

I'd like to run a USB power cable along the top edge of the windscreen, maybe tucking it just inside the headlining so it's hidden. Had a very brief look at this tonight but it seems I might have to create a little more room buy lowering the lining a little. It's to be run from just to the right of the rear view mirror then down behind the A pillar trim. I'm happy with this bit but just need to know what needs to be done to gain room along the head lining edge. Maybe just the fixings for the sun visor need slackening or removing? Any tips please?
Thanks.

When I ran my hands free mic it felt like there was plenty of room up there, use a trim tool or the other end of a tea spoon and give it a poke? It's tight to start but you might be lucky
