Side lights edition 30
« on: October 08, 2013, 04:28:10 pm »
I cant find any sidlights that work with my MK5 Edition 30. First I tried canbus led lights and they worked but were to long to click in then after I have also tried another two different types of led bulbs which work for about 5 seconds when I unlock the car but then go out and wont come back on. can anyone help?

You need lights with the correct amount of resistance.
You need ones advertised as Canbus error free (Although there is no such thing as canbus error free...)

You can buy blue Xenon Halogen side lights (they often come free with Phillips Halogen bulb upgrades) which will give the look you want.

Yea, Philips blue vision 501's are a standard bulb but give a white light. Just put these in my Eddy as couldn't be dealing with errors and trying various led's!!

Hi, I've got philips 6000k led sidelights in mine you need the warning canceller box which clips onto your wires coming from the sidelight holders etc really really bright and good! Would attach pic but I'm on my phone!
