I find that iron remover makes claying a much easier process.

Iron X is amazing but be sure to avoid getting it in direct contact with painted calipers as it can affect the finish and dull the colour of them. Preferably remove the wheel completely to treat.

I agree phil.make sure you get all of the product off as it will stain, for instance i had an ep3 with white volks and did the wheels with it but didnt get all of the iron-x off in the stud holes and it did actually stain them in the corners where it gathered..i tried everything to get it off,did try my hardest with various chemicals and polishes but you could just see it still.

So my advice is its an amazing product but make sure you rinse thoroughly with water after..

I was going to buy Iron X but instead opted for Dragon's Breath by Valet Pro. Not tried it yet as it literally came this morning.

I hope it is as good because it smells with what I can only describe as the sludge and stagnant water you find in a shower trap.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

dragons breath is a very good product for alloys I have never had to go near any alloys with a brush with it and I done a Nissan that was very heavily contaminated that even tardis or wonder wheels would not shift

Iron X smells like it does because that's the smell of the chemical which dissolves the iron into a soluble solution.
Iron X cherry does not smell BAD but it's hardly pleasant.
Iron X LS (lemon scent) has no negative smell.

Auto finesse do Iron out, basically the same, but in a large bottle, must work as it gets all the iron off my lungs if I inhale it!
And well priced too  :happy2:

If only Zaino did iron fallout removal products.......

Iron x is safe on all paint finishes including bare/polished wheels.

You know Auto Finesse buy it from another company (Believe it to be Angel wax for half the price) and rebottle it and sell it for double?
I'd rather stick with Iron X - original and the best to be honest. Better than iron out as I bought it!

The reason that Iron Removal products smell is because of the chemicals required.
You can't have a full on Iron removal product and have it smelling nice.
What do you want, a product which smells nice or a product that works well? I've not used Wax tec personally but I would like to see what's left by going over it with Iron x...
