But... is it not worth just getting Supersports? Probably better all rounder surely?

i ran ad08's on my mk2 rs didnt rate them atall coming from supersports.. when i fitted the ad08s i dropped to an 18" wheel maybe that had something to do with it possibly but i doubt it

they seem to get great reviews and alot of people like them so its a strange one

I had the Federal 595-RSR's on my Polo GTI and they were excellent on both road and track, very predictable and progressive on track and didn't go "off" through each stint. Good in the wet, but not as good as a normal tyre. Quiet as well on the road.  :happy2:
Golf R gone.

How do they compare with 888's? Not quite as good?

Yes that's right luke, I paid £100 a corner, R888s are about £180 if you can even get hold of them.

It's a solid 8/10ths of an 888, if you reason a good road tyre is 5/10ths.

Nankang NS-2R and Federal FZ201s are well worth a look too.

Sideways yo!

I might give them a try i think.. Im sure the price would outweigh the lap time differences

Unless times = podiums, all you need is grip and stability. You'll get loads of both.  :happy2:

Personally driven a Focus RS on the AD08Rs. Really rated them. Had more grip than I could use that's for sure. I haven't driven on 888s yet but can recommend the Yoko's.

Has anyone tried the Nankang track tyres? Seen them and they look good but can't help but think they're Nankangs at the end of the day? Lol.

Just ordered a set of Federals for my car ready for the ring.
