Fitting an amp/sub into an mfd2
« on: September 20, 2013, 10:28:11 am »
Hi,

I'm wanting to fit an amp & sub into my ed30 with an mfd2 sat nav. I'm not too bothered about amping the speakers, my question is;

is this an easy thing to do with the mfd sat nav system? I only have experience of fitting amps into aftermarked single DIN radio's which have a fairly universal wiring setup. I have an amp wiring kit from my old mk2 golf, will this work in the back of the MFD2?

Cheers, Christian

Cheers

I rang the Car Audio Direct technical helpline when I was trying to work out what adaptors and bits I needed for my install.
They were really helpful and the guy I spoke to definitely knew his stuff.
May be worth giving them a ring.

It's a high to low converter you need.
If you ask any decent Audio company like Car Audio or Jairm (my mate from JW Audio Solutions) they will be able to supply you with the exact cable you need...
