Best positioning of GoPro?
« on: October 10, 2013, 09:53:53 pm »
Hey all,

Just seeking a bit of advice from those who may have run track days with a GoPro camera fitted in the car. I'm on a track day at Donington on Sunday and want tips on the best place to mount the GoPro.
Only issue is that the unit has to be fixed - i.e, no suction mounts. This is ok, as I have a handlebar mount I could clip to one of the headrest poles, or use a helmet harness from a mate at work.

What I'm thinking is to borrow the helmet harness and strap the camera to the middle rear headrest. This way it should give a nice central view, compared to fitting it to the passenger seat headrest.

Any tips welcomed - don't really have any time to trial a set up in the car before Sunday morning, hence the questions!
