Newbie using collinite 476s now bad watermarks
« on: October 18, 2013, 10:49:00 am »
Got some collinite 476s after doing a bit of research into winter wax, applied at weekend and was impressed with the ease and the beading was good too. Although since had some rain it has left really prominent water marks behind? Can anyone explain why this is or if I haven't done something right?

(A quick iphone photo to give a rough idea)

Sometimes rain can have different chemical compositions.

Sometimes it'll rain and if your car is slightly dirty and the rain is "clean" it'll actually wash your car, if your car is waxed/sealed.

Sometimes when it rains, the rain is "dirty" (by that I mean it has many sulphates and impurities which when left to dry naturally will leave watermarks). If you wash the car again or use a quick detail spray you should remove the watermarks with ease.

^^ thanks for yor quick and detailed responce!  :happy2:

Thought it would be something fairly straight forward, just thought I'd check to be sure, being new to the detailing area. Got some more waxing to do at the weekend so will get it sorted then, weather permitting
