Received an FB update from Steve Petty Motorsports a couple of days back and thought it may be of interest around here?
They have finally got around to releasing a 2 piece front disc upgrade for the MK5/6 GTi, looks great and should perform well and is a bit of a bargain cost wise imo...
Retains the stock GTi caliper, but gives a 345mm x 26mm disc which is a claimed 14% lighter than the OE R32 disc, directional vanes, coated bell and if i remember my brakes math lesson from Prof Friction aka DaveB then anything above 343mm should ideally be 2 piece, which these are
All in for a pair of discs, new Goodridge stainless lines, caliper carrier brackets and hardware for $545 (£377 ish), bargain!
Budget say £150 for a set of naughty pads for the OE caliper and you could have a very capable budget BBK that according to SPM will fit under the stock wheels...
Guess the prospect of using these with some NQSBBK calipers with a change of carrier is a possibility? /Calling Prof Friction...
