VWR Panel Filter?

(1/5) > >>

94Luke:
Hiya, just a couple of quick questions about the Volkswagen Racing Panel Filter:

1.) For those that have it, did you notice an improvement in engine response/eagnerness?

2.) Are there really many differences/advantages between cotton and foam filters?  (K&N+BMC vs VWR+ITG?)

3.) Is there any where online to buy it?

Thanks for taking your time to read  :happy2: :happy2:

Hi DubKid,

Every time you renew any panel filter you will notice an improvement in response.

It's very difficult to say that one type of filter is clearly superior to another and it's quite hotly debated. Each manufacturer will argue that their product is superior.

Unless it's changed recently, VWR don't have an online 'shop' - Just give them a phonecall and they'll help you.

Hope this helps :happy2:

I'm planning on getting this,

It not an expensive mod, and i guess there will be improvements - i would have thought if VWR are selling it

i got one a couple of months ago and im very happy with it does add that little bit more noise but not to much and helps breathing and increases torque slightly. only downside to this one over the ITG is it need cleaning once a year but hey ho  :happy2:

....Is the VWR panel filter foam or paper? If you have a paper filter like the oem, it's a good idea to replace it with a new one at every service.

I'm currently running the ITG foam one which I've done about 40k miles on but I have me car serviced at VWR every 10k miles.
