Wheel fitment picture request.
« on: October 21, 2013, 11:47:40 am »
Firstly, yes I know there is a wheel thread.

As many of you may know I recently purchased some new wheels only to find out they do not fit...  :sad1:

I've found some new wheels that I'm pretty sure fit but wanted to make sure I get it right this time, so I was wondering if anyone could A) confirm this and B) Post a pic of wheels in the same size & fitment so I can see what they will sit like if anyone has one?

They are Lenso SLR (Limited Edition Alphard Reps)
5x112
18 x 8.5 J
ET 45
CB 73.1

Will they sit pretty?  :pomppomp:

It will depend on the ride height...I have 18x8-45 ETwith 225/40-18's on them. Any wider would rub my dub badly at my height. If you stretch the tires(<US spelling)...then maybe. If running H&R supersports or Eibach sportlines you are OK as well. I cannot fit my fingers between the arch and the rubber in front, and can barely squueze them in between the rear arch and rubber.

I have 18x8.5 et44 with 215/35 tyres.

Et 45 on the same width will sit 1mm further back in the arch (so basically the same as me.)

You can see it here

You will need 205/40 tyres or 215/35s if you are going to be rolling very low. You can probably put 215/40s on if you really want to.

If you want to go real low, you will need a 35 offset, i run 225/35/19 on ET 35's and i get no scrub.

If you check my build thread you will see the difference as mine goes from 2 sets of eT45 to eT35.

How do such big wheels affect the handling?

Thanks guys! They seem to fit the arches welll!

Havent purchased the lows yet purposely so I can suit them to the wheels which I hadnt found until today  Any recomendations on ones to suit?

All coming together now, xenon's, skirts, front and rear bumper +++ all sat in my spare room patiently waiting to be joined by alloys & lows & then BOOM - D DAY!

Can you tell I'm excited?

Then you're not real low

On an 8.5 with et35 you will rub on the wheel arch quite easily.
