review on Autotech 2.0 TFSi Air Intake. KO3 Turbo Cars
« on: October 20, 2013, 07:40:06 pm »
This is one of my first posts but have had lots of PMS so i thought i would stick this up.

I bought this from a Ryan at Garage midnight - http://garage-midnight.myshopify.com/collections/engine-air-intakes/products/autotech_2-0tfsi_cai

First impressions -

Impressed, shame it doesnt come in a box, i always think things look better in boxs  :happy2:

build quality is good, it comes with a k&n filter, and all attachments.

instructions are good, but pictures could be clearer.

Some pictures.

Will post mor details onc fitteed

The main section is almost identical to the Volant intake... except it stays narrow towards the filter... perhaps this would be better for low down torque.

This looks like a good bit of kit, a decent price aswell. Interested to see how you get on with it.

What do you think then regarding quality, price & whether it's a worthy upgrade from standard box, luke

Looks good for the money.

I'd question the supplier over fitment of the MAF, and ask them to see whether it screws up nice and tight, also does it come with a gasket for the MAF, so it seals well, otherwise it can whistle like an old fashioned kettle, lol.

I'd also see whether they have benched it for gains... you can do your own VCDS makeshift dyno, to test before and after for fun. :happy2:

Yh I've searched & awesome gti sell it for £145! Maybe worth dropping them an email. My standard box has the top bit of casing missing & the two screws that screw into the grill are missing/broken off! It was like it when I bought her. I've put a k&n panel filter in also
