Value of brand new boxed monza 2's
« on: September 08, 2009, 11:43:10 am »
Completely forgot I had these in the garage - 2 brand new boxed Monza 2 alloys.  Decided that I am now gonna sell them, just wondering how much they are worth - I have seen lots of used monza's around, but not so many brand new boxed ones (used to come up occasionally on ebay).

Anyone advice on what they are worth?

Likewise I might be interested in one if they're Ronals.

From the stealer thay are around the £250 mark so if your competetive against that price I'm sure you will sell them.  :happy2:

EDIT: Same price from the stealer whether BBS or Ronal.

Have a look on the back of the wheel to see if their stamped bbs or ronal. Also if there's a raised lip around the valve thier bbs.

Post a pic of the inner side of the rims as the info stamped on there will be all people need to know if it's the correct rim for their car.

Please let me know when you have decided on a price - I am about to buy one from a dealer, so a deal sounds like good news for you and for me! :-)

thanks

will pop these on the for sale area tomorrow along with some photos...

both wheels have different part numbers:

BBS RD271 - 1K0 601 025 AH
BBS RD305 - 1K0 601 025 AM

Both boxed in white vw boxes with part numbers on.

Any ideas why the part numbers are different? maybe one is earlier than the other??

£250 from dealers??? Last time I rang my dealers 18" monza 2's were £396 + vat.

I purchase an 18" Monza 2 that had been refurbed but done not done right for £100. Plus then  refurb cost of £80 your close to £200. For a brand new one i dont think £200 to £250 is out of the question. Mind if you want £100 each pm me will have them off you straight away  :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL: :signLOL:

Did you decide to go ahead with the sale? I'm really interested with one of these wheels, but can't see anything on the 'for sale' board...
