I would have a Mini Cooper S for track fun  :driver:

No chance unless it's a works version the stock ones are slow i know have owned both versions and a 172 cup is more fun to drive

Mods yes but way too many to stick in this little box

EP3 civic type r.

had a few of those as well the mad sounding engine up in the revs with exhaust and induction done  :driver: one of the best mods i did on mine was ditching the potenza tyres they come with from the factory the car handled so much better. Great car do fancy another for some reason

That one they had on 5th gear the other night was nice but had loads of cash thrown at it but great car though

My mate worked at Charters in Aldershot. One night he walked into the pub, asked me if I'd had a drink (the answer was not yet) and tossed me the keys to his current drive, a supercharged 1.9 205 GTI. Fook me it was quick. Only 180hp or so but it weighed nothing. Needless to say I needed a drink after driving that with damp roads.  :driver: :driver:

Any of the Honda Type-R's would fit the bill.

Would have to be a 182, get alot of bang for your buck if you solely want a toy...

As much as it pains me to say it I bought my mums old Corsa 1.8 SRi as a stop gap.... absolutely loved it! handled like a go kart!

MK1 Leon Cupra does not handle well without subtle mods.  Though it is better than the MKIV Golf out of the factory.  I'm just selling mine!!

May I recommend an early S2000.............

Wouldn't say that, it's not bad.

I've driven a Megane RS265 on track which is arguably the bench mark for FWD handling and you don't drive a MK1 Cupra and get out thinking it's poor - the brakes are particularly good from factory too.

No it isn't bad but there are far more better handling cars out of the box to fit the OP.  Upper and lower front strut brace ad rear ARB help tighten things up a bit though and are pretty easy to fit.  oh and an uprated Dog Bone Mount - without it used to suffer wheel hop quite badly when trying to get power down at low speeds (with 210bhp).

TBH though better with something like a Pug GTi (205, 106 306), MX, S2k, Civic Type R, 182, etc.

But feel free to buy my Cupra!!!! :signLOL:

I remember trying it on years ago in a 2.0L Focus Mk1 against my mates 172, suffice to say it left me for absolute dead on the twisties (and straights).  They are very light.

If insurance/tax wasn't such a bind, I'd have lots of past gen. (but exciting) cars under wraps to play with.
