Never going to fit as well as the standard GTi splitter, but feel this fits very well for what it is.

End supports are fitted yet, to be fair doesn't really need them. I was expecting them to be needed to hold it tight in at the edges, but all lines up neatly. All lines up well Jay, more my dodgy camera work  :sad1:

Middle underneath went a little wonky in the oven, guy said he could redo for me so flat. But better once fitted, plus is underneath so I feel will have a scrap or two in a few weeks  :ashamed:

Will get some better pics up asap.

I'm gutted, since starting this thread I've bought a standard GTI splitter.
And I couldn't do the swap if I wanted to, the standard splitter takes a beating on the speed bump into the car park, no matter how slow or what angle I go at :sad1:
Oh well, at least we know you can get well-fitted replicas. Even if they've gotta be tweaked a bit.

Put it next to a car with a genuine one and the differences will be there. But for a third of the price it looks really good  :happy2:
Yes fibreglass is terrible, it chips/splinters and simply isn't as durable, the quality is far less and it's much more difficult to fit/remove without damaging/breaking.
Back in the mid 90s Fibreglass body panels were all the rage , not anymore..  :scared:

Looks fine to me mate :)

The cars paint looks a bit faded next to the fresh spitter though

Are E30 splitters a straight fit to non gti bumper? As I have seen a few cars from the states doing it

I think that looks pretty darn good! Excited to get mine prepped, painted & fitted now! well worth the £100 in my eyes!

Jay is right in saying that it will look vastly different next to a genuine one but stand alone it looks pretty sweet!

No, they need modifying. Not sure how much work it is though..

I thought I posted this yesterday (what an amazing forum........)

However my friend has done it to his pre-facelift. It's an aftermarket ED30 splitter but bolts straight onto a valance. Think it looks good.
