New RR graphs from the DM K04+ tune inside
« on: October 26, 2013, 03:14:14 pm »
Here is the latest DM K04+ graph

My programmer is on its way...I can't wait to get it and load one of the two files. One is a delayed boost and torque file keeping boost and torque flat up to redline, and the other brings on torque quite early in the revs...do not know which one I will like best for DDing, but once I get a good amount behind the wheel with it I will post my thoughts. Dm would likely sell these in the UK, but best to email them or message through facebook. They are the best at communication and get right back to you in most cases to chat. One huge reason I decided to switch from giac to DM beside the huge power gains was that they also customize your tune to your own set up and send you your retune via email and then you just load the improved version yourself ;p

BTW, you need a 3.1bar Golf R MAP sensor for the K04+ file:

It would be good to directly compare power with an L0400 map, but when companies make claims of big gains over other tunes I'm always sceptical. I'd rather see a car go from a 13 second car at say 108mph to a 12.8 car with just a map change, rather than a 340whp car going to a 370whp car on a dyno. Even like for like cars on a dyno can have variables, but the same car being faster and quicker down the strip is physical proof. :happy2:
Golf R gone.

Exactly in line with many of my thoughts throughout this ordeal. They seemed to be a bit pushy getting me to switch early on, but I told them "I'm good!", I'll wait until some other real results come in. Everything so far is not impressive outside their own posted data. I've seen a few dyno result that were under 310whp and even lower torque. And those user posts were followed by statements of how DM said that because it was done on a dyno dynamics RR the results would be like 335whp on a dynojet. I'll believe it when I see it. No one has posted whether or not there were 1/4mile improvements, and that is all I am really interested in myself ;p I'll keep requesting some proof of life, and I'm holding on to the ransom until I see it! Thanks again for the nudge to stand my ground Hurdy.  :happy2:

Only if the driver can launch... I cant for sh*t for me there is to many variables for 1/4 mile aswell.

My LC works well most of the time, but I can jump the gun on when to floor it and avoid spin from time to time  :happy2:
