My 'R' has finally arrived!(Sorry about the crap pic's)
« on: October 26, 2013, 05:44:06 pm »
Loving the new car after a crazy 3 hour drive back from Birmingham(massive traffic jam on M6),I had to drive in granny mode as I crapped myself as it was my first DSG,it's fully loaded and only missing,Dynaudio, reverse cam and sunroof, the owner took me out for a spin using the paddles and I nearly had my neck snapped off,it's super quick and i'll enjoy getting used to it over the next few day's!Sorry about the crap pic's.

Very very nice, love the mk6 R   . Can I ask what car you had before this R? If it was a mk5 gti does the R feel a lot quicker ? Just with the added weight of the AWD that's all obvly it is quicker but I just wonder if it feels waaaaaay quicker

Put it this way, this is mapped and running at 305bhp and in manual sport mode I was fearing for my life, sound's fantastic at full throttle as well.I had a Edition30 before this and this is a hell of a lot quicker.

Is it really that much quicker than your old ed30?,or does is just feel quicker due to the constant tractionin the R that  you never had in the eddie?

Was your eddy mapped? Sorry if I'm kinda high jacking your thread :happy2: just I think a mk6 R will be my next car as I have a mk5 gti ATM and was just trying to get a compare. Hope you enjoy it mate
