Newbie from Fife
« on: October 24, 2013, 05:01:27 pm »
Evnin, my name's Gregor and as above I'm from Fife, Scotland. Been into vw's since I started driving 21 years ago now (yup I'm an auld git) had more mk2 Golf GTIs than I really should have along with a couple of mk3s and a hateful mk4 GT Tdi but never a mk5. This will change on Saturday tho when I get my hands on a 2007 tornado red 3 door GTI.

I'm looking forward to having a look at some of the tidy examples on here for inspiration, although I've already decided on my wheel choice there's no doubt plenty others that'll turn my head and make me doubt my decision.

Anyway, enough slavering on. I'm off to perv at mk5s.

Welcome Gregor. From a fellow Scottish member (Edinburgh) and a fellow Tornado red owner (although its a TDi)  :ashamed:

Good to see more and more Scots on here. Looking forward to photos and more on your wheel choice.

Cheers buddy. Im not to far from you, i live in Thornton which is next to kirkcaldy.

Nothing wrong with a tdi mate, my tdi  was hateful because it just simply never stopped costing me money.

Wheel choice is nothing new I'm afraid. I've bought a set of 18" Audi speedlines that I'll get refurbed and put new tyres on along with some spacers no doubt.

I get the car tmrw so I'll no doubt start a thread on it.  :happy2:

Was just introducing myself last night when I noticed another fifer in the intro section. I'm just along the road from yourself. I'm a Kirkcaldy boy. I went for the candy white Gti myself.

I'll look out for you and give a wee wave on the passing.

Cheers for the welcome folks. Plenty Scottish lads on here too it seems. I'll definitely learn a good bit from all the info on the forum, it'll no doubt save me a few quid too as there's plenty tried n tested ModsOn here.

Jgi just posted on your intro asking where in Fife you're from, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you bud.
