Dont forget Iron x or any iron removal product is not actually a wheel cleaner. They are an iron contamination removal product.

The plan is to clean and seal the wheels - then only clean them with regular shampoo.  Ive never touched my wheels since theyve been on (3 moths+) with either iron x or a wheel cleaner..

I've started using AutoSmart Smart Wheels. I think AS recommend a dilution ratio of 1:3 but I use it at 1:10 with good results. At that dilution, it's LSP safe too (at least IME).

Poorboys wheel sealant is not very good at all.
The durability is very poor.
The only plus is that it smells nice.. which when using a product for a job isn't what I look for.

FK1000p or Collinite 476s are far, far better choices and £ for lb, cheaper.

476s is very durable but I don't think it's heat resistant and I stopped using it on wheels after it started to yellow. I thought the lacquer had discoloured but normal service resumed after they were stripped back and resealed.

I use it on my polished lips with no problem.
I will try to spot any yellowing that you mention but this could be polishing oils or other residues under the surface of your wax.

I'm pretty sure it was heat related as the yellowing was mostly around the centre of the wheels and not apparent towards the outer edges.

Wax-tec fallout V2 I would recommend only £8 for 500ml bottle smells great and is the best iron removal product I have used. Once sealed then last awhile I only ever then need to use a more neutral balanced wheel cleaner if they become a little too dirty between washes.

I seal with fk1000 then use billberry to clean them

Bilberry Wheel Cleaner is amazing. Diluted right down it's very effective and works brilliantly.

+1 for this. Works out to be pretty cost effective too as it's relatively cheap to start with, plus as above you can dilute it down and it still works a treat!

Bilberry and Iron-X over here. Does the job a treat. Just don't let the Iron-X dry out!
