I am going to have this done shortly and wanted to know for those of you who have had this done, did you notice a big difference straight away in terms of engine performance or was it more of a subtle change? Thanks for any input.

Noticed no changed. Its more for the hotter months to keep the power curve you are used to in the winter.

IMO

meant to say you might be able to up your timing to 6, which is what will give you the extra power

Intercooler is more about maintaining power on hot days rather than gaining any more - especially on a dyno   :happy2:

no less torque actually, more top end power as Timing was upped from 5 to 6 although if you are only fitting the Eurojet intercooler it would be up to your tuner to see if there was enough headroom to safely up the timing in such a way.

As said, fitting the intercooler wont give you any extra power at all. It just might allow you to alter your settings which will give you more power  :happy2:

Noticed a difference going from s3 to THS, rev'd alot free'r!

Probably due to the size of inlet/outlet... flow alot better, and this alos means turbos not working so hard.

Intercooler=lower IAT and Hopefully...no less boost pressure=Notice nothing

If you check IAT and Boost pressure both before and after a FMIC install...you hope to only see less IAT, but no boost drop ;p
