LED Number plate fitment issues
« on: November 19, 2014, 06:42:15 pm »
Has anyone else had any issues with the fitment of LED number plate replacement lights?

I bought these off DamoP and he said that nobody else had issues with fitment on a MK5, but my connector pins are different. http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,89906.0.html

If anyone could help and let me (and DamoP) know how to sort this, then that would be great!

Thanks

I've fitted the LED number plate modules from @DamoP in my '04 GT without any issues. Just popped the standard modules out of the bumper, unplugged them and then plugged the included cables in and popped the new modules in the bumper, job done.

You got any pics of the connectors as that would probably help with working out what's going on  :happy2:

Yeah I know, thought it would be an easy swap!

Heres a pic, you can see that the two sets of prongs are different.
