Anyone got a MK7 headlight switch in a MK5?

I had a good look at a MK7 in the dealers earlier.
When I got in it, I was in awe.. The interior is unreal, reminds me a lot of the newer E-Class.
One thing I noticed was the headlight switch, it was black/chrome like the MK6, but with such a nice 'edgy' design.
Anyone know if it's a straight swap into a MK5?

Probably not a good idea, but I sneakily took the switch out in the MK7, and the connector looks the same

take your headlight switch into the dealers with you and see if yours fits into the mk7

if it does then it should work both ways

good excuse to sit in the car again! amazing interiors

I did consider that, I happened to have my old switch with me haha
But I didn't wanna have to explain myself
I may do it though, if I get time today
Also, MK7 switches are £40 online.. I'll ask the dealer for a price
