The GTD engine is excellent, it's very smooth and doesn't drive like the old mk4/5 TDI's. Throttle response is amazing for a diesel and the extra 200+ miles per tank is a great bonus. A map will nudge it over the 200bhp mark but the figures don't do it justice. A mapped 170 TDI will be quicker in all circumstances than a Stock mk6 GTI
The XDS system mimics a real limited slip diff and (when turned to max in VCDS) is really effective at reducing under steer.
The mk6 cabin is of a noticeably higher quality than the MK5's too
