Hi all,

I've decided to go for it and fit a new armrest cover so that I can cuddle up to my MDI, I mean be closer to my phone and go for a factory look.

I know from reading the posts in this forum that this is a major PITA and yet like so many before me must have thought, I somehow believe that mine will be easier :)

The only parts I need to order now are the MDI unit and cables plus the fitting that slots into the armrest, I notice that often these come together as a bundle on eBay but I also notice that some have older part numbers and sometimes the part number of the MDI electronics is hidden so you don't know if you're getting a newish fitting and an older MDI unit.

But does it really matter ?

Is there much benefit from a newer unit ?

Does anyone know what the later part numbers are ?

Cheers,
Darren
