Headlight tabs and adjustment nuts
« on: November 04, 2013, 11:57:11 am »
Changing back from my sh1te aftermarket projectors to standard lights.

Now I've had a play around with headlights on the mk5 before but I can't see the best way to fit the headlights i.e. What position should the little adjuster nuts on the 2 tabs be at? All the way in? All out? Half way? Obviously this will affect the position of the beam and I plan on getting them adjusted by a mechanic and a beam adjuster after.

Also I have seen some standard lights modded so the indicator lense acts like a DRL, how is this possible when that is an orange indicator bulb?!

Any advice will be helpful

I was thinking of getting some of the depo aftermarket projectors headlights. What brand are yours and what was the matter with them?

Cheers chaps.

They are some eBay things, got the audi drl which are awesome but cannot get the beam pattern correct. Been to a garage and had them aligned but they still aren't right!

I've heard the depo ones are really good  :sad1: wish I'd just got them!

I'm intrigued to hear what people think of their standard light beam patterns? My dipped beam could do with raising a little and the main needs to drop ALOT!
