« on: November 13, 2013, 05:49:06 pm »
Trying to sought out some winters for the golf, just wondered if anyone knows if these a8 wheels will fit?

17's will clear R32 brakes. I have just fitted my winters. Only thing you will have to check will be the offset to make sure you have the clearance.

The offset is et40 on a 7.5j wheel so was thinking it should fit. My wheels now are 8j et45 so they should sit roughly the same.

What's the width and size on the audi wheels in the pic?

I've seen 17's over the brakes before, just not sure on the caliper clearance.

More questions, lol. Is everyone running 225/45/17 tyres?

Yes to tyre size and honestly can't recall the wheel dimensions, I got shot of them right after winter.
