Ttrs brake fitting help.
« on: August 31, 2013, 05:51:13 pm »
Iv come across a problem fitting my ttrs brakes. On the near side front the original caliper has some wires on the brake pads. I took it there pad wear sensors. But my ttrs calipers have no wires on either of them on the pads. Can I just leave the electrical connecter with nothing plugged into it. Or will It give me a fault code or warning light.

you will get a low pad warning, what you could do is snip the old wires and connector from the old pads then connect the end of the wires. Plug the connector into the connector on the car and the car will think all is well. Cable tie the wires/connectors out of the way and job done :happy2:

or if you have access to vcds then you could uncheck the pad wear monitor...

Cheers guys. Sounds simple enough. I never thought of chopping the old ones of the old calipers. Thanks. :happy2:

Get F ones. They are same just new revision. Should be more corrosion resistive.
